Authorities have started a nationwide search for a Woodbridge man who is suspected of killing the superintendent of a small school district in New York.
Anthony Taglianetti II, 42, is believed to have fatally shot 51-year-old Keith Reed Jr. last Friday in New York before returning to Virginia, the Associated Press reported. Reed was the superintendent of the Clymer Central School District, in the southwestern corner of New York near the Pennsylvania border.
Reed was reported missing on Sunday evening, and his body was found Monday about 150 feet from his home.
Officials believe that the homicide was related to a personal issue and was not connected to Reed’s superintendent job, the AP reported.
Taglianetti is 6 feet tall and 250 pounds, according to the sheriff’s office in Chautauqua County, N.Y.
