Norfolk man convicted of racketeering

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A 58-year-old Norfolk man has been convicted by a federal jury of racketeering, money laundering and drug charges.

Percy James Tucker was convicted Tuesday night.

According to court records, Tucker was involved in a conspiracy to traffic marijuana and cocaine from El Paso, Texas, and Atlanta to warehouses in Virginia. Federal authorities say he laundered the proceeds through various businesses.

He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison, plus 180 years when he’s sentenced on Dec. 14.
