Man shot in Arlington

Police are looking for an armed and dangerous suspect who shot a Hispanic man Friday night in Arlington.

Police found the victim, in his 20s, lying between two cars suffering from gunshot wounds around 8 p.m. on the 4200 block of 2nd Road North. He remains in critical condition in an area hospital.

Witnesses said a black man walked up to the victim and shot him twice, once in the abdomen and once in the upper right leg. The suspect then fled in the direction of Arlington Boulevard.

Police said the suspect is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and was wearing a ski mask and black clothing at the time of the shooting.

Arlington had no homicides in 2011, one in 2010 and two in 2009.
