U.S. marshals are looking for a man wanted in the killing of a fellow 22-year-old in Northeast Washington.
Sean Gerell Carter is wanted on a charge of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Bidley Warren, of D.C.
Warren was fatally shot in the head on the 1000 block of Rhode Island Avenue NE on the night of Aug. 23.
Authorities are asking the public for information that could lead to Warren’s arrest. A reward of $25,000 is being offered.
“Let’s get this guy off the streets before someone else gets hurt,” said Inspector Bob Hoffmaster of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Carter is considered armed and dangerous. His rap sheet includes a 2009 conviction for carrying a pistol without a license and arrests for unlawful entry of a property.
He is listed as 6-foot-1 and 177 pounds.
Carter’s is known to hang out around the area of the shooting, near the Home Depot on Rhode Island Avenue Northeast.

The Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, run by the U.S. Marshals Service, is composed of 30 federal, state and local agencies from Baltimore to Norfolk.
The unit has arrested more than 33,000 fugitives since its creation in 2004.
