A man who stabbed Washington Redskins kick returner Brandon Banks outside a D.C. nightclub has been sentenced to three months in jail for the attack.
Twenty-five-year-old Jason Shorter admitted in D.C. Superior Court to getting in a fight with Banks and a friend outside The Park, a nightclub on 14th Street in Northwest Washington, in February 2011.
During the fight, Shorter pulled out a pocket knife and stabbing Banks and Christopher Nixon.
In addition to the three months in jail for the knife attack, Shorter will have to spend an additional three months as a result of a May 2001 incident in which he was pulled over for speeding and charged with carrying a pistol without a license.
