A man was shot and killed in Southeast D.C. early Saturday morning, just hours after a separate fatal shooting elsewhere in Southeast, according to police.
Police responding to reports of shooting on the 2600 block of Douglas Street SE at 5:18 a.m., found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police had not yet notified the man’s next of kin as of Saturday afternoon, and declined to release the victim’s name.
A double shooting three hours earlier in Southeast D.C. left one man dead and another hospitalized.
