Four shot at busy Northwest D.C. intersection

Four people, including a juvenile, were shot while standing on a sidewalk in Northwest D.C. Friday night, according to authorities.

Two men, a woman and a juvenile were shot at the intersection of North Capitol Street and New York Avenue, along the northwest side of the 1300 block of North Capitol Street, according to police spokesman Araz Alali.

All four victims were taken to a local hospital. One is listed in critical condition, though police said it’s unclear which victim that is.

Authorities had no information regarding any suspects as of Saturday afternoon, Alali said.

Teen arrested for Bethesda robbery attempt

Montgomery County police arrested a teen for an attempted robbery on the Capital Crescent Trail.

Police said the 16-year-old Rockville teen, walking along with a group of other teens, approached two other 16-year-old males walking on the trail in Bethesda on Sept. 29. The Rockville teenager grabbed one of the two victims and demanded money. When the other victim stepped in to intervene, the Rockville teen punched him in the head and face before the groups were seperated.

The victims returned home before going to a local hospital for treatment. No money was stolen, according to police.

Police arrested the Rockville teen on Oct. 4 and charged him with attempted robbery and second-degree assault.

P.G. man arrested for sexual solicitation of a minor

Police arrested an Upper Marlboro man for sexual solitication of a teenager.

Cletus Chidex Okoro, 54, approached a male teenager on the 7300 block of Landover Road and lured him into his vehicle by offering to pay him to wash Okoro’s SUV, according to authorities.

Police say Okoro drove the car to a nearby car wash, where he committed a sexual offense against the teen before driving him back to where Okoro had picked him up.

Authorities charged Okoro with third-degree sex offense and sexual solicitation of a minor.
