Fairfax police arrest man in roommate’s murder
A man was arrested early Wednesday morning after he stabbed his roommate to death in their Fairfax County apartment, authorities said.

Jose Ivan Lopez Castro, 20, is charged with murder in connection with the death of 38-year-old Oscar Rivera, according to Fairfax County police.
About 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Rivera’s body was found with apparent stab wounds in the bathroom of an apartment on the 9100 block of Barrick Street near the Merrifield area. Police believe that the suspect and the victim got into an altercation prior to the slaying.
Arlington police investigating deaths as double homicide
Police are investigating the deaths of two men found in an Arlington apartment as a double homicide, officials said.
A building maintenance worker found the men dead shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday on the 1900 block of N. Culpeper Street in the Hall’s Hill neighborhood. Killed were 59-year-old Keefe Spriggs, a resident of the apartment, and his acquaintance, 31-year-old Carl Moten.
Police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said the case appears to be an isolated incident. He was not releasing how the men died.
