Takoma Park police are seeking information about a suspect in a shooting and robbery.
About 7 p.m. Monday, a 33-year-old man was leaving a Capital One bank in the 1100 block of University Boulevard and was getting into his vehicle when he was approached by an armed male. The suspect took the man’s money and shot him, and the victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Takoma Park police officials said.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall, and 170 to 190 pounds, with a skinny build and medium-to-dark skin. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black jacket, black or gray shoes, and gray pants that were not jeans.
