Prince George’s County police are having events Wednesday about two separate homicides that claimed the lives of high schoolers.
At 6 p.m. Wednesday, police and Kettering community members will come together for a walk, during which they will pass out flyers seeking information about the slaying of 17-year-old Amber Stanley. The honors students at Charles Herbert Flowers High School was fatally shot inside her Kettering home on Aug. 22.
The walking route will start at Oak Creek West Community Park, located at 13204 Whiteholm Drive in Kettering.
At 7 p.m., police are holding a community meeting where they will discuss the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Marckel Ross. On Sept. 11, Ross was gunned down in Capitol Heights as he walked to Central High School, where he was a junior.
The meeting will be held at the school, located at 200 Cabin Branch Road in Capitol Heights.
No arrests have been made in either slaying.
