A man was shot during a robbery in Arlington, officials said.

The incident took place at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on Arlington Ridge Road near South Lang Street. The victim told police that he was walking home when a man approached him, demanded money and shot him in the leg. The robber fled the scene on foot with some of the victim’s money, Arlington police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said.
