The case of slain Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington will be featured on “America’s Most Wanted” on Friday, nearly three years after she disappeared.
Harrington, 20, left a Metallica concert at the University of Virginia on Oct. 17, 2009 and disappeared, authorities said. In January 2010, her remains were discovered in a field on an Albemarle County farm.
DNA evidence has linked the Harrington case to a 2005 sexual assault in Fairfax City.
The television segment on the Harrington investigation will air Friday at 10 p.m. on Lifetime, according to Virginia State Police.
The FBI, Virginia police agencies and Metallica have partnered in a multimedia campaign in an effort to find Harrington’s killer. A reward of up to $150,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Anyone with information can call Virginia State Police at 434-352-3467, Fairfax City police at 703-385-7959 or the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
