PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — A Maryland man tied to a 2001 murder in Florida has been arrested and extradited to Charlotte County.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office reported that 39-year-old David Ray McMannis of Cumberland, Md. was transported back to Florida on Sunday after signing a waiver of extradition and is being held without bond.
McMannis was arrested last month and charged with first-degree murder in connection to the killing of 19-year-old Tara Danielle Sidarovich. Police said they are still looking for his alleged accomplice, 43-year-old Phillip Gavin Barr.
