The owners of the Dupont Circle area restaurant where a man was fatally shot and five others were shot or stabbed this weekend said they are reviewing contracting procedures for nightlife activities.
Jhonte Coleman, of Suitland, was killed around 2:30 a.m. Sunday outside the Heritage India bar and restaurant after he attended a birthday party at the establishment located at 1337 Connecticut Ave. NW
“Heritage India extends its deepest sympathies to the family of Jhonte Coleman. We wish a quick and healthful recovery for the others who were injured following a private party on Nov. 27,” the restaurant owners said in a statement released Tuesday.
Heritage India owners said two patrons at a private party began to fight and security staff immediately escorted them from the premises.
