Two men were shot early Saturday morning in Southeast D.C.
The two adult males were standing in a courtyard on the 700 block of 12th Street SE when two black males approached them on foot, according to police spokesman Araz Alali. One began shooting, hitting one victim multiple times, including once in the head. The other victim suffered one gunshot wound to the hip. The motivation for the shooting is unknown.
Both victims were transported to Howard University Hospital — the man shot in the head was reported unconcious at the time, while the other man was concious and breathing.
Their injuries are non-life threatening, according to Alali.
Police are looking for two suspects, both black males between 20 and 25 years old. The first man had a dark complexion and slender build, and was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He was carrying a black revolver. The second suspect was wearing a white t-shirt and kakhi shorts, police said.
