Police searching for missing Silver Spring girl

UPDATE: Montgomery County Police tweeted at 4:23 p.m. that Shanice Elliot returned home safe and unharmed.

Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a girl who went missing after school Friday in Silver Spring.

Shanice Elliot, 11, was last seen leaving Francis Scott Key Middle School at 2:40 p.m. She never returned to her home on the 11200 block of Lockwood Drive.

Elliot is black, about 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing about 80 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair, usually worn in a ponytail. She also has yellow and blue braces. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a white T-shirt and pink sweatpants.
