Prince George’s County authorities said Sunday they have charged a 20-year-old Glenarden man with attempted murder.

Police said Wayne Hunter Jr. turned himself in on Saturday and is being held without bond on charges of attempted murder and armed robbery. Hunter was also charged with assaulting a police officer after he “became combative and assaulted a detective” following his surrender.

Hunter was wanted in connection with a Jan. 13 shooting in the 8400 block of Hamlin Street. Officials said the victim was attempting to deliver food when Hunter shot and robbed him.
