Two men were wounded in separate shootings in Southeast D.C. early Saturday morning, police said.
About 12:40 a.m., a man was sitting in a vehicle in the 200 block of Newcomb Street SE when he was shot, police spokesman Officer Araz Alali said. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police issued a lookout for a black male, 5-feet-11 to 6-feet-2, 180 to 220 pounds, with a dark complexion. He was wearing dark clothing.
Less than an hour later, a man was shot multiple times in the 4300 block of Third Street SE, Alali said. The victim was taken to a hospital.
The suspect in this shooting was described as a black male, 5-foot-5, about 130 pounds, with a dark complexion. He was wearing dark clothing and was armed with a handgun.
