Prostitution arrests have gone up around Logan Circle, and sex-starved construction workers may be the reason for the rise, D.C. police say.
According to a report in The Current weekly newspaper, police made 21 prostitution arrests around M and N streets between 10th and 12 streets NW in the past two months.
Lt. Jeffrey Carroll told the Logan Circle advisory neighborhood commission that “prostitution has come back with a vengeance,” reports The Current.
Police have noticed a that the sex-for-money business picks up before and after construction work shift changes.
