Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) sure wasn’t “happy, happy, happy” after a loud duck call sounded on the floor of the Senate. Only the quacking was coming from his pocket.
Durbin was speaking on the Senate floor Monday about the devastation from a tornado that tore through his home state of Illinois this weekend. But while the Senate Majority Whip continued sharing tales from survivors, his cell phone started ringing.
His ringtone?
A duck quacking.
Durbin subtly reached into his pocket to silence the duck without missing a beat of his floor speech. And after the duck quit quacking, he continued on.
Could Durbin be a fan of the hit A&E show “Duck Dynasty?”
We think so.
