What a difference two years make. Just ask Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
Nearly two years ago, the rebel Republican was stripped of her committee assignments by majority Democrats angry with her sometimes inflammatory and controversial statements and calling out of liberal hypocrisy.

Democrats thought they had kicked her to the side of the road, but she scraped back into a leadership role in the large MAGA wing of the party.
Now the Democratic National Committee isn’t just taking Greene seriously as she is set to push investigations into the Biden administration from a seat on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
In a new attack YouTube posted on a billboard truck circling the Capitol today, the party is also warning that she will be an influential part of the new House GOP leadership kitchen cabinet, especially if Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) wins the speakership.
“We know who’s in charge,” said the video showing a picture of Greene. It quotes liberal TV anchors and pundits who despise her in angry comments that also validate her position of power.
The lawmaker, who has very close ties to former President Donald Trump, has been campaigning for McCarthy for weeks, helping him brush off complaints from some members that he isn’t conservative or MAGA enough.
Unreal that people claiming to be America First are negotiating for ‘Me First’ positions when it comes to the Speaker’s gavel.
The base deserves the truth.
They would be as sickened as I am.

“Even if Kevin McCarthy becomes speaker, we all know who’s really calling the shots: the most extreme wing of the House GOP,” DNC spokesman Ammar Moussa said in a release.
“The path to the Republican speakership runs through extreme MAGA Republicans like Marjorie Taylor Greene — and the only way McCarthy wins the speaker’s gavel is by cutting a deal with extreme right wingers like her,” Moussa added.
