It boasts President Obama as its son, features a swaggering mayor in former Obama aide Rahm Emanuel and cheers for the 2013 Stanley Cup winners, the Blackhawks.
But America views Chicago as something different — America’s most dangerous city.
In the latest YouGov.com poll, Chicago tops Los Angeles and New York, with 53 percent of Americans saying that the city is “unsafe” to 33 percent who call it “safe.”
New York was called “the second most dangerous,” followed by Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
Texas’ major cities of Dallas and Houston were called the safest.
