Poll: College educated choose Clinton, blue collar Trump

PHILADELPHIADemocrat Hillary Clinton easily beats Donald Trump among the nation’s most highly educated, but the Republican holds his own among the blue collar class who never attended college, according to a huge new survey of 23,000 registered voters.

Among those with six or more years of college, those with postgraduate degrees, Clinton leads Trump 51 percent to 34 percent, according to the Morning Consult survey.

Those with a bachelor’s degree like Clinton slightly more than Trump, 45 percent-40 percent.

And those with no college time, it’s Trump 41 percent, Clinton 40 percent.

“Clinton’s biggest lead – 24 points – comes from younger people with a college education. When asked, 54 percent of 18- to 34-year-olds with a college education say they support the Democrat, compared with 30 percent who support Trump,” said the analysis.

“Trump once said, ‘I love the poorly educated,’ and according to the survey, he has an advantage with voters over the age of 65 who did not attend college, leading Clinton 49 percent to 33 percent,” it added.
