Trump critics are turning their attention to son-in-law Jared Kushner in a new assault on the top ranks of the White House.
MoveOn.org is demanding that Kushner’s security clearance be “suspended” due to meetings he had during the transition with Russian officials.
“Until such time as Jared Kushner fully discloses all relevant meetings he had with foreign agents, his interim security clearance needs to be suspended,” said MoveOn in a petition that has collected nearly 100,000 signatures.
It is the latest assault by left-leaning groups on top White House staff, most of which the administration has shrugged off as partisan attacks.
The group is clearly trying to take advantage of more serious Russian ties concerns with former Trump national security advisor Michael Flynn and the new series of headlines that controversy has received this week.
