Univision, Ramos blast Trump’s WaPo ban, paper ‘world’s most respected’

This won’t help.

Univision News journalists, led by ardent Trump critic Jorge Ramos, are calling on the Republican candidate to restore coverage rights to the Washington Post, “one of the United States’ and the world’s most respected and iconic journalistic institutions.”

In a letter to the Trump organization, the Hispanic news group said, “We at Univision News stand foursquare with The Washington Post as it endeavors to cover this election in a manner consistent with its own editorial judgment.”

Trump pulled campaign credentials from the Post after a headline about his comments on the Orlando shootings that he didn’t like was posted.

That should result in a big shrug, since Univision was barred from Trump properties after the Spanish-language network nixed Trump’s Miss USA telecast after he announced his presidential campaign with a slap at illegal immigrants from Latin America.

The letter was shown on the Univision website in Spanish and English. Ramos, an anchor, tweeted it out.
