TAMPA, Fla. — Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said Monday he will skip the Republican National Convention in Tampa this week with Tropical Storm Isaac threatening to hit the Gulf Coast as a hurricane as early as Tuesday.
“I will not be speaking or attending the Republican convention in Florida,” Jindal said. “There is no time for politics here in Louisiana.”
