Last night on Fox News, Rick Santorum denied that he was considering a ‘non-aggression pact’ with Newt Gingrich in the next presidential debate.

“I’m not looking to structure any kind of deals with anybody. Santorum said, to Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren and added, “I will contrast myself with other candidates in the race but I will do it in a way that people of New Hampshire and people of South Carolina going forward would like to see me do it, which is respectfully but directly.”

Yesterday Newt Gingrich hinted on the Laura Ingraham show that it would be possible to create an anti-Mitt Romney alliance with Rick Santorum.

Politico’s Maggie Haberman confirmed from two sources that such discussions had taken place between the two campaigns.
