In a new Gallup poll, Americans rate Republicans less favorably than Democrats, 39 percent to 46 percent.
With the onslaught of scandals surrounding the Obama administration, Democrat favorability fell more than GOP favorability — by 5 percentage points. GOP ratings, however, are the lowest they have been since May 2010 (even though Republicans went on to win the 2010 elections by historic margins).

The GOP is also deep underwater as far as favorability goes, with 53 percent of Americans seeing the party unfavorably. That’s a 14-point spread. Democrats, meanwhile, are about evenly split, with 48 percent of Americans viewing the party unfavorably.
