David Brooks’ column yesterday scolded Republicans for an unwillingness to accept higher taxes. The GOP, he wrote, “is being offered the deal of the century: trillions of dollars in spending cuts in exchange for a few hundred million dollars of revenue increases.”
Yet there was one problem with that sentence, as the New York Times subsequently updated:
