Ron Paul booed for Bin Laden comment

While squabbling with Rick Santorum over the motives of terrorists, Paul received boos from the crowd as he reminded people that Osama bin Laden attacked America because of its foreign interventionism.

“This whole idea that the whole Muslim world is responsible for this and they are attacking us because we are free and prosperous is not true,” Paul began, “Osama bin Laden and Al-Quaeda have been explicit and they wrote and said that ‘We attacked America because you had bases on our Holy Land in Saudi Arabia, you do not give Palestinians a fair treatment. . ‘”

Paul was then interrupted by boos from the crowd.

Debate moderators always turn to foreign policy at the end of the debate and when they do, they always ask Ron Paul his views and he gives his unvarnished opinion.

It severely undercuts Paul’s candidacy in nearly every debate performance and tonight was no exception.
