Ask WEX: Washington Examiner readers can ask our experts about the Midterms today

The Washington Examiner wants to invite its readers to ASK WEX. We will be hosting a Facebook Live event today, Wednesday October 12th at 12 p.m. EDT, continuing every Wednesday, until the 2022 midterm elections.

W. James Antle, the Washington Examiner’s politics editor, and Sarah Westwood, political and investigative reporter, will be fielding questions from the public and debating what matters.

While both sides are publicly bullish about maintaining or taking control of the House of Representatives, Republicans are almost certain to walk away with control of the lower chamber of Congress in November.

MIDTERMS 2022: TRACKING THE ISSUES THAT MATTER TO VOTERS AHEAD OF ELECTION DAY

The Senate, currently a 50-50 split, is anyone’s game, with key races in Pennsylvania, Nevada, Georgia, and North Carolina proving crucial to both sides’ hopes of control in the upper chamber. Meanwhile, several gubernatorial races have tightened, with a couple of surprises expected on election night.

Issues at the top of minds include inflation, taxes, education, crime, and abortion. The Washington Examiner has been keeping track of Google search trends on a national and state-by-state basis to see what matters to voters.
