CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) — A central New York county is getting $2.5 million in federal funding for its Early Learning and Head Start programs.
The money for Cortland County Community Action Program will help provide education and development services for low-income children.
In announcing the grant Monday, U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand calls it a smart investment that can help give children in the region a chance to “start out strong.”
