Private sector steps up: Filling Afghan withdrawal shortfall

The Biden administration has dispatched its CIA director to Kabul, Afghanistan, in an attempt to negotiate an extension of the Aug. 31 deadline to complete evacuations with the Taliban. But as Doug McKelway reports, the private sector, human rights organizations, and even members of Congress skeptical of the administration’s competence to extract thousands of people from Kabul are helping to pick up the slack of the chaotic evacuation.
