HOUSTON (AP) — Federal officials say a Mexican man arrested in Texas this summer and wanted in his native country for murder and attempted murder has been turned over to Mexican authorities.
The director for enforcement and removal operations at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Houston field office, Steven Boll, says 40-year-old Juan Morales-Boyzo was taken to Laredo for delivery to law enforcement officers from Mexico.
He was arrested near San Manuel in Hidalgo County in July. Records showed he had been deported previously in May 2013. Days after his most recent arrest, he was convicted of re-entering the United States after being deported.
Authorities last month were told Mexican officials had issued a warrant for him for homicide and attempted homicide.
