When Season 5 of Bravo’s “Top Chef” premieres on Nov. 12, we’ll have a local talent to root for. Carla Hall, who owns Alchemy Caterers in D.C., is one of 17 contestants who will try to impress hosts Padma Lakshmi and Tom Colicchio.
Hall, a Nashville native, graduated from Howard University and L’Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda, with a modeling stint in Europe sandwiched in between.
Her bio on the “Top Chef” Web site says her food “balances the heart and soul of the South and the refinement of her classic French training.”
