First lady Michelle Obama snuck out of town Monday morning on an unannounced trip to see her brother in Oregon. According to the White House dossier, FLOTUS flew into Eugene on Air Force 2 around 11 a.m. Pacific time. While Michelle crossed the county, President Obama remained on the East Coast, traveling to Dover Air Force Base without his wife to welcome home the remains of the 30 fallen servicemen killed when their helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan. The first lady has taken some heat for some ill-timed trips, including a lavish vacation on Spain’s Costa del Sol last year.
