A Code Pink protestor got kicked out of a Dick Cheney speech on Tuesday, but managed to hold onto some of her dignity on the way out, as well as her anti-Cheney banner.
Cheney was speaking at the American Enterprise Institute about his opposition to the Iran nuclear agreement, when the woman held up a cloth banner that said Cheney was wrong about the Iraq war.
As she was led away, a man in a sports jacket and tie furiously tried to rip the banner out of her hands. But after more than 10 seconds of tugging and pulling, he conceded to the woman with the iron grip, quickly sat back down, and tried to pretend it never happened.
Cheney calmly watched the exchange and said after it ended, “Thank you very much.”
