Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick joined Humane Society President Wayne Pacelle at a Capitol Hill presser on Tuesday. There, he endorsed federal legislation against dog and cock fighting. Vick, who served prison time for his involvement in an underground dogfighting operation, is now speaking out against the practice. “During my time in prison, I told myself I wanted to be part of the solution, not the problem,” he said. The bill would punish people who support and fund the organized fights. Rep. Betty Sutton, D-Ohio, who recently introduced the bill, and Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va.. were also at the event.
