The Tinder dating app wants to hook users up with the presidential candidate best suited for them.
The company launched a new feature — “Swipe the Vote” — on Wednesday that matches men and women with a Republican or Democratic candidate based on their responses to 10 policy questions, including marijuana legalization, same-sex marriage and the death penalty.
“We’ve been amazed by the amount of users expressing their political views with matches during this presidential campaign. That’s why we decided to build Swipe the Vote,” Tinder wrote in a press release Wednesday.
The app partnered with Rock the Vote to create the special matching feature. On the home screen, a video card will take users to the survey. When finished, Tinder shows candidates and the percentage of a person’s opinions on issues that correlate with politicians’ views.
Users can share their matches on social media and will also be directed to register to vote through Rock the Vote’s website.
