At this rate, Mayor Fenty will be breaking world records by the time he turns 50. As the mayor hews ever more diligently to his workout schedule, he’s been turning in impressive time after impressive time in races. This weekend’s Marine Corps Marathon was no exception, as Fenty set a personal best of 3 hours, 37 minutes, 20 seconds, in his seventh running of the race.
That was enough to beat Andy Baldwin, star of “The Bachelor: An Officer and a Gentleman.” Baldwin, who also serves as a Navy doctor and competes in triathalons, finished in 3 hours, 47 minutes, 18 seconds.
And what’s with Harvey Walden IV? The expert fitness instructor on VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club” finished in a tortoise-esque 5 hours, 23 minutes, 5 seconds.
CBS News correspondent Kimberly Dozier ran the Marine Corps 10K race in 1 hour, 21 minutes, while raising $6,000 for Fisher House.
