Outgoing White House press secretary Robert Gibbs spent part of his Saturday night at an engagement party at Kitchen in Glover Park. Gibbs was spotted working the room at a party for White House Special Assistant Marissa Hopkins and her fiance Jim Secreto, a Georgetown law student and Harvard grad.
“He was very friendly, socializing with everyone and laughing,” a Yeas & Nays spy reported, noting that Gibbs hung around for the speeches and toasts. Hopkins, a former campaign staffer, has worked at the White House directly under Gibbs. She and Secreto plan to wed in October.
