Liberal protesters at New York University Thursday night were not quite as violent or arson prone as their counterparts who lit up UC Berkeley the night before, but they were loud.
Unlike Breitbart bad boy Milo Yiannopoulos the night before, acerbic talk show host and Vice co-founder Gavin McInnes managed to take the NYU Manhattan stage Thursday.
Yet so, in a manner of speaking, did a bunch of protesters who got in to what was supposed to be a College Republican gathering, and made their presence known.
“Nazi scum your time has come!” chanted the protesters, along with, ” Shame! Shame! Shame!” and “Whose campus? Our campus!”
They also burned red Trumpian Make America Great Again baseball caps in effigy.
“Why are you repeating the same nonsense over and over,” McInnes taunted the hecklers and attempted to mix it up with them.
According to the New York Post, McInnes appeared particularly annoyed with a NYU handler who wasn’t willing to have the chanters removed.
McInnes asked him “You think these are rational beings?” and called him a “dumb liberal asshole” before eventually storming off the stage.
He was able to get through to speak at all because the New York Police Department was out in force and made a way for McInnes to get in. The cops appeared ready to zip tie all the protesters, though only a few arrests were made.
