Rubio dismisses Trump’s front-runner status

Donald Trump continues to lead in the polls, but Marco Rubio doesn’t think it matters very much.

During an interview with TheBlaze Monday, Rubio told host Glenn Beck that he is unfazed by Trump’s continued lead in the polls, saying that “these things all work out” in the end.

“We are excited to see that you’re doing as well in the polls,” Beck told Rubio, adding he was also glad to see fellow Republican Sen. Ted Cruz polling well.

“There’s one that we’re not so glad that’s at the top of the polls right now, but I don’t think we’re alone,” Beck told Rubio.

“These things all work out,” Rubio reassured the host with a laugh.

“Yeah,” co-host Pat Gray said in agreement. “It just takes a little time.”

Rubio also told Beck that he while he does not regret trying to work out the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration package in 2013, he admitted that he “learned lessons about reality” by going through the process.

Since the first GOP debate, Rubio has moved up in the RealClearPolitics national polling average. The Florida senator currently trails Trump, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Ben Carson and Cruz.
