A Justice Department probe has found routine racial bias in the Ferguson Police Department.
The investigation into the police practices of the Missouri city’s police force was announced in September, weeks after white Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson shot and killed black teen Michael Brown. Some clues into what the investigation found are now known.

An official told the Huffington Post after a Tuesday meeting between Justice Department and Ferguson officials that the police department “discriminates against black residents and routinely violates the Constitution and federal law.”
The investigation reviewed thousands of pages of records, visited Ferguson and interviewed members of the community, finding troubling statistics. For example, 88 percent of documented use-of-force incidents were against African-Americans.
