Cumulus Media has renewed its agreement to syndicate Rush Limbaugh’s radio program on its stations through 2019, the company announced Wednesday.
The company described the agreement as a “multimillion dollar deal.”
“Rush continues to be a dominant force in talk radio,” said Julie Talbott, president of Premiere Networks, which syndicates Limbaugh’s show. “From continued ad sales growth and increased audience levels, to unparallelled audience connection, having an iconic talent like Rush in a station lineup drives valuable opportunities for advertisers and strategic partners. We’re delighted to continue our partnership with Cumulus.”
Limbaugh has the top talk radio program in the U.S.
In 2012, he stirred controversy by describing Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke as a “slut” after she testified before congressional Democrats in favor of government subsidized birth control.
Cumulus broadcasts Limbaugh’s show in major cities, including Washington, D.C., Chicago and San Francisco.
