Longtime foes Donald Trump and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham are waging another war of words.
When both Republicans were seeking their party’s nomination earlier this cycle, Trump distributed Graham’s phone number at a rally, which prompted Graham to destroy his phone.
Graham spoke out against Trump on a Sunday talk show and has recently said his party has gone “bats–t crazy” in reference to a plurality of GOP voters’ support for the former reality television star.
Trump responded on Twitter on Monday with multiple tweets labeling Graham a failure.
“Failed presidential candidate Lindsey Graham should respect me,” Trump tweeted. “I destroyed his run, brought him from 7 percent to 0 percent when he got out. Now nasty!”
Graham responded in a tweet noting that Trump had misrepresented his level of success.
@realDonaldTrump I never got past 2%.

The South Carolina senator’s terror at the prospect of Trump winning the nomination has led him to conclude that if Trump wins the primary, “the Republican Party will get killed, we’ll get creamed, we’ll lose, we’ll deserve it.”
