Vice President Biden made an interesting point in a fundraising letter sent to supporters Tuesday. In trying to get people to donate to President Obama‘s reelection campaign, and thus win a dinner date with the president, Biden said he wasn’t lucky enough to get dinner with his boss.
“The President and I have a routine — we get lunch together almost every Friday,” Biden began. “But all I get is lunch.” He then solicited campaign donations and concluded with this note. “I’m reminded every week that sitting down for a meal with the President of the United States — without TV cameras or a big crowd — is something only a few people will ever get to do,” Biden wrote. But all he gets is lunch.
