Former President George H.W. Bush will stay in a Houston hospital through Christmas Day as a precaution after being admitted Tuesday night for shortness of breath.
The 90-year-old Bush has experienced health problems in the past couple years, though aides said he’s at Houston Methodist Hospital for a different reason than the bronchitis that hospitalized him two months in late 2012.
“The Bush family certainly appreciates all your prayers, love and concern. This is not two years ago. It’s a hiccup. He should come home in a few days,” Jean Becker, Bush’s chief of staff, said in a statement, according to CNN.
