KICKSTART The FoodPrints teaching kitchen project at D.C.’s Watkins Elementary School looked like it wasn’t going to happen, that is until chef Jose Andres and Rob Wilder got involved. The co-founders of ThinkFoodGroup donated $7,500 and tweeted their 31,000 followers, requesting each to contribute $10 in order to reach the $60,000 goal to build a kitchen at the public school in Southeast. The FoodPrints project will help teach more than 200 first- and third-graders how to cook, eat and live healthier lifestyles.
