Celebrity fashion photographer Nigel Barker may just consider President Obama to be America’s top role model. The fashion photographer and “America’s Next Top Model” judge gushed over POTUS Thursday night, when he was in town for a book signing.

“I’m actually a big fan of Obama. Sorry, I am. I think he’s great,” he told Yeas & Nays. “I’d love to photograph him, I think he’s got great style, great presence.”

But does Obama smize? (For those unfamiliar with “America’s Next Top Model” lingo, a smize is a modeling technique that means smiling with ones eyes. It was made famous by Tyra Banks.)

“All the time,” Barker said. “I think that is one of the things that people loved about him the most.”

Barker applauded Obama’s natural confidence. “That lack of him trying to bulls–t you is very important,” he said. “Every now and then, when he’s been tired or he’s been upset, you can see it in his eyes and I think that’s a very humanizing factor that’s endearing as well.”

He also gave his props to the first lady. “Beautiful,” he said. “Beautiful family all around.”

Barker appeared at the downtown nightclub Eden Lounge to promote his new book “Nigel Barker’s Beauty Equation: Revealing a Better and More Beautiful You.” The 16th season of “America’s Next Top Model” debuted last week. “Real Housewives of D.C.’s” Lynda Erkiletian, FOX 5 anchor Will Thomas and ABC 7 reporter Natasha Barrett also attended the event.

After the book launch, Barker headed to Hook in Georgetown where he dined with friends. We’re told he ordered the ahi tuna entree.
